Title : Software Engineer

Project Summary and Position Overview:


This position requires active participation throughout the development lifecycle. Develop features/applications, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment. Implement robust, highly scalable, highly optimized backend components. Evaluate and integrate latest technologies and third party libraries/APIs. Contribute to design, code, specification and architectural reviews and technical documentation. Works collaboratively with QA engineers through participation in the testing process and review of QA documentation. Ensure that the long-term architectural and performance strategies are considered with designing and coding solutions.

Essential responsibilities –

This position requires active participation throughout the development lifecycle. Contribute to design, code, specification and architectural reviews and technical documentation. Ensure that the long-term architectural and performance strategies are considered with designing and coding solutions.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Estimate, design, code and test applications using .Net, ASP.Net MVC, Silver light, MS SQL technologies.
- Creates application design specifications and document coding efforts.
- Analyze diverse and Medium to Complex business and technical problems and provide solutions.
- Involve in the technical design and prepare clear design documents.
- Timely Completion of Assignments with Quality.
- Troubleshooting and debugging technical problems.
- Create and implement Unit Test Plans and unit test cases.
- Involve in Peer Code review process.
- Provides regular status update to the project manager.
- Should be able to mentor junior developers.

Required Skills –


* Should have 2 years of experience in engineering.
* Four-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business discipline or related field.
* Strong Experience in Object Oriented Design, Relational Database Design, and XML Design
* Ability to pay attention to detail
* Possess strong analytical/logical thinking and problem solving skills and clarity of thought
* Experience with multiple development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
* Experience in Test driven development and Automated build management.
* Experience in working on developing mobile applications will added advantage.
* In depth knowledge of windows and web programming languages (C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Silver Light, Jenkins)
* Familiar with other open source technologies
* Familiar with software development tools (Microsoft Visual Studio)

Preferred Skills:

Any Microsoft certifications would be an added advantage
