Job description
|
In the role of file system test team member, this individual
will be required to work on test case execution, test planning of
different product features for IBM’s Parallel cluster file system
product (GPFS) Candidate will be a technical contributor and as
appropriate will advice Test Manager with test planning activities. The
individual will work closely with other product architects, product
managers and other technical leads in development and test teams to
effectively complete the test team deliverables through their technical
skills and prior experience. Candidate will also be interacting with
multiple customer facing teams to help come up with solution, answer
queries, gather requirements etc.
Experince : 1-3 years.

Job Skills Required
A) Technical Skills
- Background in testing system software products (filesystems, OS, Device Drivers)
- Background in files systems, networking, system’s concepts.
- Test case evangelizing skills.
- Excellent skills in programming and scripting languages (Shell/Perl/Python)
- Familiarity with software test processes, test and status reporting tools
B) Soft skills
- Ability to plan test execution details meticulously and identifying dependencies early
- Good written/verbal communication skills to crisply and accurately report program status
- Good technical leadership skills to mentor new team members and hand holding them
Experience Required
-
This role requires 1-2 years of industry experience in product testing
in systems/file systems/storage space. Candidate should have B
Tech/BE/MCA in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering from a
reputed institute. A post graduate degree from a premier institute
would be preferred. |
