S&P Capital IQ is seeking a proficient Software Engineer to architect,design and develop solutions to support key business needs.

Architect, Design and Develop solutions to support key business needs.

Lead the technical direction for the software team to build high-quality, high-performance, scalable code.

Engineer components, and common services based on standard corporate development models, languages and tools.

Produce system design documents and lead technical walkthroughs.

Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Mentor team-members to continuously improve the architecture

Embrace change and ramp-up the team accordingly 

 

Qualifications

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s/PG degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering.
• 3-5 years of significant experience in application development using Microsoft Technologies and SQL.
• Superior knowledge of system architecture, object-oriented design, and .NET framework and patterns.
• Exposure to WCF/WPF technologies is desired.
• Exposure to developing or maintaining VSTO based solutions would be a plus.
• Exposure to using Microsoft Interop Office libraries would be a plus.
• Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies Agile, Test-driven development
• Understanding of financial markets and asset classes ,Equity, Commodity, Fixed Income, Options, Index/Benchmarks is a bonus
• Abilities in any of these areas are a plus 
• Text parsing / linguistic analysis 
• Large data processing
• Cloud computing
